ActiveViam’s Atoti powers SEB’s new P&L solution for streamlined trading desk oversight

ActiveViam

New York, May 20th, 2025

ActiveViam, a global provider of advanced data analytics and decision-making solutions for the Financial Services industry, announced today that SEB AB, the leading Nordic corporate bank, has implemented and rolled out Atoti, ActiveViam's flagship product, as their P&L reporting solution.

Replacing a previous technology that was heavily based on spreadsheets and ad-hoc procedures, Atoti is now being used to investigate and report Actual P&L, create adjustments, and perform sign-off on aggregated P&L figures. The application called P&L Sentinel supports P&L Control and fifteen trading desks covering all traded assets of SEB.

Atoti's multidimensional cubes together with its distributed data architecture, allows SEB to have on-the-fly access from the top of house to the most granular trade details with access to historical data within forty business days, as well as aggregated historical data by portfolio supporting MTD, QTD, and YTD calculations.

Atoti Sign Off, a module in the Atoti product suite, has also been deployed to oversee and control the bank's daily internal approval and reporting operations satisfying the needs of internal stakeholders (P&L Control and Front Office).

All this is brought together under Atoti UI providing SEB with a unified and flexible set of dashboards. These support not only analytics and reporting but also the end-of-day approval process. These were configured so as to adhere to the firm's standards for workflow and approval.

“We have successfully implemented P&L Sentinel within Atoti, modernizing our P&L management with a workflow-driven platform. This enables us to efficiently control and report daily trading P&L while providing enhanced drill-down capabilities. Both front office traders and risk controllers can seamlessly analyze figures at various levels. The solution brings improved oversight, transparency, and adaptability to our P&L processes.”

Rasoul Najafi
Head of Market Risk, SEB

"We are delighted to expand our partnership with SEB with a long term commitment to support not only their liquidity but also their P&L reporting and operational workflow. This was a challenging, large-scale deployment of Atoti on the cloud and, together, we have built a world class application."
